Local, Independent, Building Since 2017

Working in Alamance and Guilford County homes since October 2017. You get the same crew and a price before the work starts.

More than a handyman service

My Handyman of Burlington has been working in homes across Burlington, Graham, Elon, Mebane, Haw River and the surrounding Alamance County area since October 2017, and across Guilford County alongside it.

The name undersells the work and the owner is the first to say so. We build decks, pool decks and screened porches. We hang siding and set replacement windows. We remodel bathrooms, build closets to your design or ours, take ceiling texture off, rebuild after water and fire damage, and level houses whose floors have settled.

The punch list is part of what we do. It is not the whole of it, and every bit of it gets built right and up to code.

Who you actually get

You get Phillip and the same crew. Not a call centre, not a dispatcher, not a different subcontractor on every visit. The person who prices your job is connected to the people who do it, which is why the price and the work match.

We are local and independent. Not a franchise, not a national brand with a licence plate. We live and work in Alamance County, and the reputation we have here is the only one we get.

How we price and how we communicate

You get a number before the work starts. Not an estimate that drifts, not a rate that runs, and not a figure quoted down the phone by someone who has not seen the job.

If we open a wall or get under a floor and find something nobody could have known about, you hear about it that day, with photos, before anything else happens. That is the single thing most people tell us they have never been given by a contractor before.

What we will tell you no about

We handle fixtures. Work that requires a licensed electrical or plumbing contractor in North Carolina is outside what we take on. We do not do roofing. We do not do water extraction or mould remediation, though we do the reconstruction afterwards. And if we get under your house and what we find is foundation failure rather than floor framing, we will tell you that you need a structural engineer instead of selling you a floor repair that does not fix it.

Saying no to the wrong job is why the yes means something.

The work speaks better than this page does

Every photo on our work page is a job we did, shot on site. The kitchen before and after is the same room from the same angle. That is a more useful thing to judge us on than anything written here.

Questions

How long have you been in business?

My Handyman of Burlington has been working in Alamance and Guilford County homes since October 2017.

Are you a franchise?

No. We are local and independent. We are not connected to any national handyman brand, and we live and work in the same county you do.

Who actually shows up?

Phillip and the same crew. The person who prices your job is connected to the people doing it, which is why the price and the work match.

What happens if you find something unexpected?

You hear about it that day, with photos, before anything else happens. We do not keep working and put a surprise on the final invoice.

Want to talk to the person who does the work?

Call or text and you get Phillip, not a call centre.
